Retainers are used to conceal a naval, eyebrow or tongue piercing. They are available as straight and curved barbells. Some employers require the use of retainers in a piercing while at work. This can be especially true for the hospitality industry. Retainers are unacceptable for an initial piercing and are only to be used in an healed piercing.
